Love, Lies, and Illusions: Understanding the Draw of Toxic Relationships. She met him online. The conversation flowed effortlessly, like two souls intertwining through words on a screen. He was attentive, charming, and made her feel seen. Every morning started with a sweet message, every night ended with deep conversations about life, dreams, and everything in between. But then, like clockwork, something changed. A month passed, and he became distant. No more morning texts, fewer responses, excuses piling up. Work got hectic , life is overwhelming , it’s not you, it’s just me . The rhythm that once felt natural became a game—one where she chased, and he withdrew. The more he pulled away, the more she tried to understand. What happened? Did I do something wrong? Maybe he’s going through something. She convinced herself he needed patience, care, and understanding. She mistook absence for mystery, emotional detachment for depth. What she didn’t realize was that she was no longer in con...

Roots and Ruins. The love of my life—the peace that calmed my soul—was being destroyed right before my eyes. From the age of nine, I started living near a forest located on the other side of the road. The forest was not very dense, and there weren’t many people around when we first moved here. We bought a piece of land and built our home on it. Summers never felt too hot, and I grew fond of nature by the time I was fourteen. Every Sunday, I would wake up at five o’clock in the morning and go to the roof to take a walk, pacing from one side to the other. While walking, I would memorize words or study authors' dates of birth, places they were born, and books they had written. Every morning, my attention was drawn to pigeons, sparrows, and other birds. Some birds had a blue tail and a black face, but I didn’t know the names of some of the others. I often found myself admiring the beauty of God’s creation—their attractive features, soothing voices, and the sense of peace they gave me ...

Thriving Alone: From Fear to Freedom  "Loneliness and the feeling of being  unwanted is the most terrible poverty." - Mother Teresa The problem of being alone or feeling lonely is a significant challenge for many people. Some of us find ourselves experiencing anxiety when left alone for even a short period, such as an hour. This anxiety stems from our tendency to avoid engaging in self-reflection, as we often find it painful or strange to confront our own thoughts and emotions. When my mind is brimming with thoughts, I usually resort to plugging in my earphones to drown out my inner voice, effectively silencing the constant chatter within. This habit has become a long-standing coping mechanism for me. Over time, this discomfort with my own company has made it increasingly difficult for me to have honest conversations with myself about my problems, likes, and dislikes. The idea of facing my inner struggles and acknowledging my true feelings feels almost foreign. Moreover, whe...

From Turmoil to Healing: My Ongoing Journey Towards Triumph. " You don't need to explain why you're protecting your soul from harm.  You really don't.” ― Najwa Zebian, Mind Platter Have you ever felt the sting of putting your heart and soul into something, only to see it unravel before your eyes? It's a gut-wrenching experience. Imagine dedicating every ounce of your energy, whether it's in your career or in a relationship, believing that everything is on the right track. Then, out of nowhere, you're hit with news that shatters your perception, a reality check that all your efforts may have been in vain. This is exactly what I faced, and the devastation was overwhelming. I felt a deep sense of loss and disappointment, unable to recognize the person staring back at me in the mirror. The dreams I had nurtured seemed to crumble in an instant. Giving your all—your hundred percent—and receiving nothing in return can be an incredibly painful experience. It's...

A Day at Jawahar Bhawan: An Unexpected Encounter A few days ago, I attended a book launch event at Jawahar Bhawan. The event was scheduled to start at 5:30 PM, but my friend and I decided to arrive early to explore the surroundings. We took the metro to Central Secretariat, which is the closest station to Jawahar Bhawan. As someone who loves to dress comfortably yet stylishly, I opted for my favorite pair of jeans, a cozy sweater, and a scarf to complete the look. The weather was just right for such an outfit. My friend, equally excited, suggested we explore some nearby landmarks before the event. We thought it would be a great way to spend our time and take in the historical and governmental significance of the area. Upon exiting the metro station, I immediately noticed the heavy presence of CRPF personnel. Their intense gazes were hard to ignore, and I felt a wave of unease. It was as if I had stepped into a spotlight and all eyes were on me. The scrutiny felt invasive, but I tr...
